The MiGO 83 County Challenge is still a popular challenge. Find at least one cache in each of Michigan's 83 counties and you qualify for the really cool pin shown below. Lake Superior and Lake Huron members of MiGO are eligible for one free pin and may elect to pay MiGO's cost for a second pin for the same cacher account. Lake St. Clair members, Trial members and non-members can get one or two pins at MiGO's cost. You can have us mail you the pins for a fixed shipping price (currently four dollars for either one or two pins) or you can pick up your pins at a MiGO event. You may also inquire about picking up pins at non-MiGO events that may be attended by an EC or Board member.
How do you get it? Simple. Once you’ve found a cache in every county:
- Either run this check: Project-GC Challenge Checker
- Select the appropriate button below to select 1 or 2 pins, mailed or picked up.
- Fill out the form that the button brings up.
- Make your payment for pins and/or delivery.
- Wait for your pins to come in the mail or show up at a MiGO event.
So who can participate?
Anyone! We’re opening it up to any Geocacher who puts in the time and effort to complete this difficult challenge. Paying members of MiGO are eligible for one free pin. No paying members and non-members pay cost for the pins.
What if I’ve already completed the challenge? Do I get a pin still?
Yes you do! Any cacher that has found a cache in every county prior to our release of this challenge can still get one.
What if I’ve got more then one member of my team that was involved in this challenge. Do I only get one pin?
If you have a multi member Geocaching account and you’d like more then one pin, your team can request a second pin, but that’s it. There is a maximum of 2 pins per Geocaching account that has completed the challenge.
